The [tools-free] compaction of the lamp minimizes the transportation and storage down to 1/4 the volume of the assembled unit.
The lampshade is composed by 17 wooden rings + 8 opal perspex rings and diffusion plate that hang around the source of light (E14 low consumption or LED bulb) casting different shades and emitting a diffuse and gentle light.
These parts are connected by 4 textile threads tied together onto a wooden ceiling mount where you can wind the cord in excess, and by small rubber washers that allow the adjustment of the distance between rings.
The textile lined cord exhibits a beautiful vintage black&white fishbone pattern (other colours available).
